Interesting museum with a lot of cool antiques. Learn about the history of the area, and how advances in technology changed everything from locomotion to mining. Staff were very knowledgeable and even had a live demo of steam powered machining tools. Spent about 2 1/2hrs there. Worth the stop.
Lots of interesting vehicles and machines to see here! The trains are enough to keep the young ones entertained along with some fun activities and colourful attractions. The facility itself is up to date and has a lot of interesting exhibits that focus on Nova Scotia history. It should keep you busy for 1.5 to 2 hours.
We found this to be an interesting stop, and worth a visit. This museum is very visible from the highway, but we had trouble finding the exact spot to turn in. Perhaps needs a sign out by the road? Despite it being a slower day for them when we were there, they still did some demonstrations for us, which we appreciated. Very friendly staff. Loved the gift shop here!
Great great museum. So many awesome exhibits. Well laid out. Knowledgeable staff. Lots and lots of parking.
A bit of a hidden gem. I love this museum. A lot of really great exhibits and information. I do have to say the last area with the tech kiosks could use an updating, but I know that costs money, so I don't deduct any stars for that. The place is clean and the staff are kind. The displays rock. This is 100 times better than the discovery centre in Halifax.
